You do not have to wash it. Check your contract to see what the gas situation is. Some rental car companies will require the car to be returned full of fuel, some give you the option when you pick up the car to buy a tank of fuel and return the car empty, and some will notate the fuel gauge reading and require that you return it with the same amount of fuel (or more)

Fill the tank or you will be charged a very high rate for the re-fueling.


They wash and detail each car upon return, that is a part of your rental fee.





You should make sure they fill the tank before you take the car.
you don't have to wash it..and you don't HAVE to fill the tank, but..if you don't they will, and charge you $6/8 per gallon to do so!! (Really!)
i dont think you have to wash it! usually they want the gas they gave to you back in it when u return! if unsure call them up! :)

i rented an avis car a few months ago. because of the high cost of gas they weren't filling the tanks completely. they wrote on the paperwork how much gas was in it when i got it and they asked that i bring it back with the same amount in it, which i believe was like 3/8ths of a tank.





look at ur paperwork and if ur unsure call them...my paperwork stated $6 a gallon if it wasn't brought back with the same amt.

You do not have to Wash it but you do have to put fuel back in to where it was when you got it. If you don't add Fuel they will and it will cost like 5 dollars a gallon! So make Sure you put Gas back in it.
You don't have to wash the car but if they rent you the car with a full tank you should return the car with a full tank.
fill up clean the inside out of courtesy to them . No need to wash unless extremly filthy
Don't wash it, but put the gas back where it was or you'll pay their price which is about a dollar/gallon more.
