Are there any rental car companies along the stations for the Caltrain (going from Santa Clara to San Fran)?

I will be taking the Caltrain up the city and would like to know if there are any rental places along the way that after I get off I can rent a car to explore the city further. (rental cars in walking distance from station)Are there any rental car companies along the stations for the Caltrain (going from Santa Clara to San Fran)?
I wouldn't recommend driving in the city, especially if you are unfamiliar with it. There is a light rail MUNI station right at the Caltrain station, so you can get on that and explore. If you get off at Market STreet, you can catch the muni to Pier 39 and that area. I don't know what your budget is or what ou really want to explore, but a car is not recommended. The train station is on 4th %26amp; Townsend which is located in part of the city called the South of Market Area, aka SOMA





We've used Enterprise and I've found them to be very courteous. I would suggest, look at the list and call a couple of them who are nearby and tell them approx the day and the time you'll be arriving and confirm business hours, etc. etc.
