Should I accept insurance from a rental car company?

like what the prior person said...depends on what kind of coverage you have...depending on the current coverage you have it may be duplicating your insurance. definitely contact your agent first to make sure your insurance coverage would transfer if you got in a rental.Should I accept insurance from a rental car company?
In almost all cases you won't need it.

In fact in my state, the law specifially says your own insurance is primary and it requires language on the rental contract saying you don't need the insurance offered by the rental car company.

One word of caution, however, not all policies will actually pay for ';loss of use'; which means if you wreck their car, your insurance will pay to fix it but may not compensate the rental firm for the lost revenue.Should I accept insurance from a rental car company?
No. Most carriers of your normal auto insurance will cover what the rental companies are trying to sell you. Check with your agent first.
