Im 18 and my mom is goin to rent a large suv for prom weekend...would i get pulled over if like a cop runs the license plates and notice that its a rental and sees how young i am..i have insurance...Will I get pulled over for Driving a Rental Car?
No. As long as you have a drivers license you have nothing to worry about. Just don't do anything to attract attention and most likely you won't get any problems with the cops. Will I get pulled over for Driving a Rental Car?
Major rental car companies require that each driver is named on the rental agreement and ALL DRIVERS are 25 or older. If you mom rents the car and gets rental car insurance, it will not cover you while you are driving and if you get in an accident your mother will be libel for damages.

By allowing you to drive the rental car your mother is placing herself at great financial risk. This is also a form of fraud by your mom.

Rental Car SUVs are very pricey to replace if damaged.

Large SUVs will cause a great deal of damage if they are involved in an accident. While it not cool, the only legal option is to have your mom drive the rental vehicle and take you and your date to the prom.

If you are stopped by the police the will ask you for your DL, registration and insurance, since it is a rental car you will need to show the rental agreement to the police, problems will occur because you are not named on the rental agreement. if the police notify the rental car company, you will not be allowed to drive the car. This leaves you and your prom date stranded without wheels.
If you get pulled over, you will get arrested for driving a rental vehicle with out being on the rental agreement. All major rental car companies have phone numbers police and other law enforcement can call 24/7/365 and to be certain your an authorized driver. If you get in an accident, your insurance probably wouldn't cover because the car wasn't rented to you so the agreement would be voided. Sorry for saying this but its true, I worked for a car rental company for a long time and many people had this happen to them.
the important is you have a driving license.

If you tell them (car rental) that you don't have driver's insurance, then they will let you know that they have an insurance plan for you. You will have to purchase that insurance plan if you don't have insurance of your own or your insurance doesn't cover rental cars.[..]
Don't listen to freak125, you can get arrested for driving with a suspended license or an unregistered or stolen car. You can't get arrested for driving a vehicle that does not belong to you.

Just stay cool and respectful and everything will be fine.
You might get pulled over (cops tend to pick on us younger people) but you would not get in trouble for anything.
