Can a rental car be used for driving test in virginia?

I do not have a car to give my driving test. I have already cleared the two computer based tests. the only choice i am left with is a rental car registered in Virginia DMV, if I can

Thanks,

Unfortunately no-since you can not legally be listed on the insurance and as a driver-you would not be covered. Only someone with a legal driver's license. It will have to be an independently owned car. A lot of driving schools offer a car and driver to accompany you for $100-if that's too steep, I would offer a friend or go on craiglslist and offer $50. Good luck on the test. I don't see why that would be a problem. As long as the car is in good working order and meets all state requirements. I'm sure it doesn't matter at all.
Unfortunately, you cannot use the rental car for your driving test. You must be an actual licensed driver over age 21 in order to rent it and drive it. Laws and insurance will not allow it. You cannot get someone else to rent the car for you and then you drive it, that is not allowed either.

There are some private driving schools that will allow you use of their vehicle, as long as you participate in thier class and/or pay a fee and have someone from that school accompany you on your test.

Good luck!
