Recenly,i got mail from DMV. the letter was about driving friend's rental car without insurance?

I drove a friend's rental car without insurance but i had permit.

right now they want me to send a proof of financial responsibility.

other wise they go to suspense my permit.-.-

so please tell me what i can do right now-.- ?Recenly,i got mail from DMV. the letter was about driving friend's rental car without insurance?
You shouldn't have been driving a rental car because you were not on the contract nor the insurance to drive it. Therefore, you were driving illegally. You should have your permit suspended, and the sooner the better.

Why is ';doing right'; so hard?Recenly,i got mail from DMV. the letter was about driving friend's rental car without insurance?
Unless you have millions for financial responsibility you probably can kiss your permit good by. They take driving without insurance very seriously.
You can't drive any car without insurance. If you have a permit, the insured driver must be in the passenger seat.
Am I missing something here? How would the DMV know you were driving your friend's rental car unless you got pulled over?
