If it's fixed and whoever you hit has been taken care of then you should be good. Personally, I wouldn't let them know if I already fixed the problem.
If you got idiot insurance, you shouldn't have had it fixed as they will take care of it. If you didn't get the insurance and paid to have it fixed without their knowledge it could come back on you later.
