My rental car has a crack in the front glass when i was riding the freeway am i responsible for it?

YesMy rental car has a crack in the front glass when i was riding the freeway am i responsible for it?
You said ';it has a crack';.

Did you notice the crack in the glass while you were driving?

Did the attendant who inspected the vehicle prior to you leaving with it make a notation of the crack?

Did you call the rental company?

Did you accept the rental insurance? Or otherwise have insurance on your own that covers glass breakage?

Or did a rock hit the windshield and crack it while you were driving?

Responsibility is certainly unclear, but you have paperwork from the rental company that was signed. Read this over very carefully. It should answer the question for you.My rental car has a crack in the front glass when i was riding the freeway am i responsible for it?
You are responsible for it.

If you bought the added insurance to cover this kind of damage, then you won't have to pay for the repairs.

If you didn't get that insurance, or, if you own comprehensive insurace doesn't cover it, you will have to pay for the repairs.

You could TRY to say the windshield was cracked when you picked up the car, but, since your paperwork advised you to inspect the vehicle before you drove it off, this challenge will probably not work.
If it happened while in your possession and you did not have the rentals car insurance then you are fully responsible but you can also get this repaired by your insurance company many times at no cost..
it is probably too late for this but there is a law that vehicles have to have mud flaps to prevent debry from flying into somones wind shield I had a brand new truck and this guy in front of me had no mud flaps and a rock hit my wind shield and uglied it up I followed him and pulled him over and his insurance covered it. If it is a rental i am sure it is on them it should be any way
