After an accident, can ur insurance give u a temporary rental car?

i just got into an accident. my car is pretty banged up but it can be fixed. can my insurance company give me a rental car for free, even tho im turnin 18 next week and im under my parents name? After an accident, can ur insurance give u a temporary rental car?
It would depend on whether or not you purchased rental car replacement on your insurance policy and whether or not you could find a company that would rent to you at 17. Although the minimum age for car rental is usually lower than normal for an insurance replacement rental, it is still usually 18 or over. Check with your insurance company to see if they have contracted any partnerships with a certain car rental company that would allow them to get a rental car for a client under 18.After an accident, can ur insurance give u a temporary rental car?
Only if you have rental reimbursement coverage on your policy (assuming you are making a collision claim).

If you purchased this coverage - it will pay a predetermined amount per day up to the policy max. Depending on what type of car you rent, you may have some out of pocket expense.

Just because you have ';full coverage'; does not mean you purchased rental reimbursement coverage.

You can not add rental car coverage to be back dated. So if you did not have it at the time of the accident there is nothing your company can do.
Check with your Insurance company and the rental car office. The rental car office has a rule that they are allow to rent car to person over 21 years old in some states. Check on the extra insurance from the rental car company. If you get an accident in there car you will be responsible for the deductible from your policy. If you can not rent, then I would suggest let one of your parents rent the vehicle and use one of your parent's car.
Check your insurance certificate. This should indicate whether or not you are eligible for a hire car, and for how long you can rent it for no extra cost.

On my policy I am allowed a 14-day rental car, but after that I have to pay a small daily fee.
it does depend on your ins. policy, you did not say if another persons car was involved if the other person was at fault there ins. should cover a rental car.
Only if you elected to carry rental coverage on your policy.
Check with your repair shop.

A lot of repair shops give you a loaner to use when your car is being repaired.
Call your agent, it depends on your coverage. Peace.
If your full coverage has a free rental car clause in it .. yes you can
