So, my hubs and I are slying into MCI on a weekend. We cannot find hardly anything under $300 for a 8 day rental, returning in the same location. This is ridiculous! We have no preference of who we use, but we have already spent over $2600 on tickets alone!
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for lower rates?

If you get an off airport rental it will likely be somewhat cheaper. Take a shuttle to your hotel and book something there. Some like Enterprise will pick you up at your hotel. I cannot say about Kansas City but here in LA I have been able to get an Enterprise car for s little as $129.00 a week.
