If you book your car in the UK the insurance is included if you use one of the big comapnies.

When you collect the car the desk clerk may try and sell you extra cover, you wont need it, refuse to buy it.Im from the uk do i need insurance to drive a rental car in usa if so can anybody tell me the best prices?
The insurance you need will be sold by the car rental company you choose. It's a bit pricey but because you are not a USA resident i recommend that you Get full coverage. You can ';shop'; now while still in the UK right on your computerIm from the uk do i need insurance to drive a rental car in usa if so can anybody tell me the best prices?
If you book car hire on the internet while you are still in the UK you will get insurance included in the price. One of the best value places I've found is via ebookers.

.Yes you do,but prices vary so much its hard to say.I am told it is cheaper to do it by pre. booking on line, rather than using the tourist car rental firms once your there.Try car rental U.S.A. on Google.
Yes, you need insurance. You'll probably be better off buying it from the rental company. When you rent the car, just tell them you don't have insurance and they will add it on.
